hi, came across a new install of sanyo vrf and noticed that all systems had there liquid line linked,does awnyone know how this works

are you sure it is not the oil balance pipe on the higher capacity units that have been linked

hi, yeah positive,they had brazed tee peices on the half inch liquid going to the next unit...first time iv seen this...

Can you discribe this in more detail?
Was the suction pipe linked as well?

hi,no suctions connected it was just liquid line linking each outdoor...

It's just a multistage capacity control method.

There is one invertor driven compressor and however many fixed speed compressors that are required to provide the full load.

You could say that it a system with XX unloaders ;)

hi brian,not sure what you mean... do you no anywhere i can look at in debt? am i right in saying it works like daikin with the function box and what ever amount of vrv connected to it?? why only link the liquid, cant get my head around why other pipes arent linked

as far as i can see liquid is present at the indoor unit, if cooling it draws liquid and if heating produces liquid....maybe it just time for the pub:)

its an oil line linking the units together,if u look the outdoor units are teed up in2 the header pipe,suc and liquid,and the oil line just links between the outdoor units,,,hope that explains abit...
