how to diagnose realy fault

I have a fault with a compressor not starting,windings check out fine. relay just clicks, any advise on how to check if relay or compressor at fault. model bm20 aprox 4yrs old

Back to basic then?

If the realy just clicks, does it stay on?

Have you checked, if present, if the fuses are ok?

remove electrics and connect an Annie...check run amps.

or, remove the relay, put continuity meter across both pin holes and invert it, should make circuit and break when turned back the right way up.if no circuit, relay contacts are shot.

fit solid state relay to test ...then order new relay if needed.
