hi dears

whether filter drayer be saturated with moisture the liquid line is closed (fiter drayer can pass refrrigerant through himself.

Not sure what you are asking here are you saying the liquid line is closed and the filter is still passing refrigerant???

Filter/driers can become saturated and be unable to absord more moisture.

Also, if the filter/drier has been heated above normal conditions then moisture within it can be released back into the system.

when filter/driers become saturated and unable to absorb more moisture ,it can pass any refrigerant through himself.

If you don't have gauge ports on the filter dryer. Take temp of line entering and exiting dryer if there is a temp drop across filter replace.


Most of the time it will still pass ref. through however you really don't know how much without pressure/temp drop.

If the liquid line is closed because of moisture, it would be restricted at the metering device. If this is the case than warm the metering device to see if it will pass refrigerant. If it does than the moisture was frozen and that caused your liquid line restriction.Do you have a moisture indicator in the sight glass?
