Hellow friend Techs,

This is my first post here and I hope I will learn a lot here and that someone can help me with my first problem.

When a Service-Checker has been connected for some time on a Daikin VRV, can the stored data's be exported to an xls file so that it can ve viewed in xls Excel ?

Can the data's be exported to another format (pdf, Dbase,...)?

Is there a viewer available for the colelcted data's?
Or do you simply need the complete software to view all the data's in a graph environment?

Is the software available for sale? It is not my intention to use it direct to a Daikin unit - I don't have the converter anyhow and I even don't need it - but I only have to look in millions of collected data's.
Daikin gave them to me in a printed format but I have +/- 15,000 pages full of data.

This question is most likely for someone who uses the Service Checker.

Welcome to RE, I hope you enjoy the forum and will abide by the rules.

What format is the data in?

You need to know what extension it uses, (.html .pdf .???)

What was the suggested software?

Hi Cool (That's a trade name somewhere methinks!) and welcome to the forum.

Sorry, I can't help with your problem but I'm sure someone out there has come across it before.

Hello there

I purchased a checker 12 mths ago and they sent me the software for it on floppy discs. These were completely useless so I called up and they send me a CD ROM. I think you may be able to download updates somewhere as well.

Good luck!

What is the name of the software?
What is the file extension?

More info about the file please?

Any chance of sending me a small sample of a file?

Well, the software would be Service Checker I,II or III.

I know Toshiba has mucked around with their DynaDoctor software to prevent this "unauthorised" viewing of the data.

But I never had a reason to check the service checker's file system, I will do it tomorrow when I get in to the office, unless someone post the answer before then.

Hi Cool,

For your question, the data recorded by the Daikin Service Checker can be converted to the *.csv format file. This format can be opened easily by Excel.

For more detailed information you can send me a private message.

Viking, I should be very grateful if you just could try if you can export these data to whatever datafile, for example csv.

This software is as good as useless without the proper converter.
So, is the software then not available for purchase?

Hi cool100
With service checker you can easily export to csv format and then to Access or Excel.
There's no viewers and as i now you need to open the build in software.
If you have an old version of software try the HELP section to find a link for the updates.

No, Sorry.

Our laptop and service checker had to go out on a breakdown, so I haven't had a chance to do it.

But I will, I promise.

Hi everyone,

I am a virgin poster so apologies if I am in the wrong forum etc.
I am thinking about purchasing a service checker for Daikin VRV's but have heard about the Coolmaster 1000, does anyone know which is the most user friendly?

Thanks in advance!

CoolMaster is a simple RS232 Gateway. What you mean is probably CoolAnalyzer. However,

CoolAnalyzer and Checker have quite different purposes. If you need to perform a detailed "deep" diagnostics you better use Checker. But if you need quick diagnostics without connecting Laptop, using CoolAnalyzer may be very convinient. It is also very useful for commisioning since you can read all the required data and malfanction codes from the outdoors.

Thank you for your reply, and actually I got a quotation from CoolAnalyzer. Is CoolAnalyzer can be used instead of Daikin Service Checker? What is the difference. Do you have any training program for commissioning of Daikin VRVIII?

The user name and password for the Japan software site have been cancelled as people are posting them on internet forums :(

Contact Daikin with your email address and they will email out the current version. Never had any problems doing it this way.:D
