Solair,

The reason your post was deleted was because there were 5 or 6 of them all asking the same question, and, these all referred to a previous post you made.

When this happens we tend to look at this as spam, although I realize this was not your intent. One post in one area would have been sufficient, and multiple posts will not get an answer any faster. In fact, using multiple posts for the same request may be taken by some as annoying.

Some of the moderators only handle several areas with the RE site, while others maintain different topics. We all try to maintain a reasonable approach to handling conflicts and questions and have to say the multiple posts is one of those that gets attention very quickly.

You should also realize not every question gets an answer. This might be due to lack of time or knowledge on the subject. Eventually, someone usually answers but it might not be immediately.

So... I hope you understand why I deleted on of your multiple posts.

Now that I'm here I can say the tables are usually correct and that the observation you made is indeed probably true. I say this because sometimes a typographical error does occur.

For the most part you can treat the data as correct. If you look at short radius and long radius elbows you will see a similar event occur. One fitting has a greater equivalent length than what you might expect for the same size.

I would have to spend some time thinking about it but in general the phenomena you noticed is due to the fitting geometry and the flow through the fitting.

I hope that helps for the time being, and again, please don't take offense for having the post deleted.
