The application that I need is to use the secondery refrigerant to flow from the main receiver to the commercial refrigerators at -20 C. then returns back to the receiver to be recooled again, and so on.

what is the suitable secondary refrigerant or refrigerants????

Thanks alot for your hounored forum....

A glycol mixture if there isn't any food there.

If there is food then industrial (~60% proof) alcohol.

(Just make sure that the engineers mix it with water before they drink whatever didn't go in to the system, at 60% proof it will burn your tongue or at least it will feel that way)

Can you tell us what is your primary refrigerant and why you need to use the secondary refrigerant?

Please, can you explain your project little more and help us to give you right answer/s.

Best regards, Josip :)

MY SYSTEM WILL WORK BY THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURE:

1- THERE IS TWO MAIN PARTS OF THE CENTRAL
REFRIGERATION SYSTEM THAT I WORK ON. THE
FIRST ONE IS THE MAIN REFRIGERATING SYSTEM,
WHICH INCLUDES COMPRESSOR AND SHELL TUBE
EVAPORATOR AND REST COMPONENTS. SECOND
PART IS CONSISTED OF RECIVER TANK AND
SECONDARY REFRIGERANT PIPING TO THE
REFRIGERATED ENVELOPES.

2- THE PRINCIBLE OF WORKING IS TO COOL THE
SECONDERY MEDIUM TO LOW TEMPERATURES (-
22 c) , THEN CIRCULATE IT WITHEN A CIRCUIT
FROM THE RECEIVER TO THE REFRIGERATED
ENVELOPES AND BACK TO THE RECIEVER.

3- WHEN THE SECONDARY REFRIGERANT
TEMPERATURE DROPS BELOW -14 C. THE
COMPRESSOR WILL START WORKING AND THE
COOLING MEDIUM (SECONDERY REFRIGERANT)
STARTS TO FLOW FROM THE RECIEVER TANK TO
THE EVAPORATOR (SHELL AND TUBE) AND BACK
UNTIL REACHING -22 C.

WHAT IS THE MOST SUITABLE COOLING MIDIUM OR SECONDARY REFRIGERANT THAT COULD BE USED FOR THIS WORKING CONDITIONS ((doesn't freeze or chimically active))

 Nice explanation,.... (see this, please: http://www.hoax-slayer.com/do-not-use-all-capitals.html),

but you said nothing about your plant i.e. primary refrigerant and utility for secondary one;)..

Anyhow you can use...

water solution of calcium chloride (CaCl2) or sodium chloride (NaCl)...

water solution of glycols - ethylene or propylene....don't forget inhibitors

halocarbon like methylene chloride, trichloroethylene or

non halocarbons like d-limonene, polydimethylsiloxane...

each one is good, further more very good...

....BUT...

you must find all properties about each one of secondary refrigerant and choose the best one for your system;).

It is not an easy answer and you have to spend some time on research, we cannot design you system just give some help

If you took some time and make searching on this forum for sure you should find a lot about secondary refrigerants...
