hi friend.
we have a LG scroll aircondition compressor(model:SB061YAB).
we have not installed the compressor on A/C unit because here is one problem.
when we start the compressor (OUT OF UNIT) it dose not compress when we keep the discharge line closed with finger in result gas leake from discharge to suction.
what is the problem?

NOTE:
-THE COMPRESSOR IS THREE PHASE
-THE DIRECTION OF COMPRESSOR IS CORRECT.
-WE BOUGHT TWO NEW COMPRESSOR (LG- SB061YAB) both of them have problem .

Is this a single or three phase compressor? if it is three phase then it is probably running backwards.

(IT TESTED,WHEN WE PRESSURIZE THE DISCHARGE OUT LET THE GAS GOES TOSUCTION LINE)

Check the rotation of the comp like the last post said because scrolls will only pump in one direction.
Because you tested it off the machine it may look like it is not pumping.
Scrolls do not pressurise like recipricating comps.
Fit it and see what happens.

Hi there,

Start the compressor and watch the condensing pressure. If it does not change then the rotation is wrong, change the phases.
If the condensing pressure goes up then it it correct.
Be careful, if scrolls run in wrong direction there will be a disaster.

Cheers

What happens when the compressor is connected to the system as it should be?

hi friend.
we have a LG scroll aircondition compressor(model:SB061YAB)..

That was your first mistake!

Now you've fitted LG we'd better make the most of it.

Phase rotation should be your first point of call after initial commissioning.
