I guys

I have a mate who's 23 and an apprentice in his secound year of collage,he's been working in air-con for around 6 years now and know's the ins/outs of a cats a**.

But what can he do:

Can he work on his own if competant?
Can he mess with refridgerants?

This history is hard and we now its swings and roundabouts but were wanting advice please.

can anyone advize him.

Has he got his gas handle qual. (CITB or C&G)?
If he has then he can work with refrigerants if he has not he can't work with refrigerants.
If he is competant to do the job then he can go out and do the job.
qualifications although desirable and somtimes required by employers are not yet a requirement.

So yes he can work and do the job if he can do the job and has a gas handle cert:)

If your mate was in the supermarket sector,he,d have his own van and would be on 24 hr callout.6 years is a fair amout of time.

Judging by your age in the right hand corner of your post he appears to have 1 years more experiance than you!
What can you do????
Most people with six years experience are looking to change trade never mind start accepting responsibility.

Well if its like canada He can go and pay a few grand to get a peice of paper that tells him he knows what he all ready knew!

Like I said at the moment legaly he can work anywhere.
