Hello
I would like to know where I could find information regarding to commercial refrigerators components. Real data about the condenser (dimensions, number of tubes,..),evaporator( type of evaporator, dimensions...), compressor( power input, displacement, flow,...), pipes( diameter, length,..) and the working temperature range.

I would be very grateful if you could help me.
thanks

Carlos

If one of these companies , say Copeland were asked for a full technical manual in hardcopy or on CD for reference material, would they supply it readily, or make a charge for it.

I downloaded the Copeland manual, available in pdf format. Only problem is download was slow for 65 pages.

Would be handy to have the manual on the shelf. Do refrigeration compressor manufacturers readily make available information or is it like ten years back when they made a charge for a manual.

From a marketing angle look at it this way, you can design a glossy brochure about your company and its products, but something like a manual also speaks about your business, provide one free of charge, and who knows, next time a job comes round, that engineer might just recommend your product.

All exposure is good, even if your name is on some tatty old manual lying around, how many "eyes" will see it and begin to recognise the name.

Hi Abe,

Copeland provides all the data including compressor performance charts, selection guides, everything complete. I've got the whole ball of wax (about 5 volumes of 3" to 7" sized binders). My wholesaler, who treats me well, even provided me with the wholesale dealer information.

No, it's not free. I believe that on the website there is a link to "order literature". If you phone Copeland, there is an option to contact the literature department. If you do business with a Copeland wholesaler, they can order/provide it to you and put on account. :)

I also have the Copeland software, "Compass" and "Pathfinder" which is an interactive catalogue of compressors and condensing units complete with drawings, parts numbers and breakdowns, etc. It's a good tool. My vendor always ends up with CDs that he doesn't use, because the software is on his company intranet. He gives the discs to me. ;)
