lubricant for HC

Hello everybody,

i have a problem with the dilution of the lubricant for use hydrocarbons (mixtures), i have read that i just need to correct the viscosity of the lubricant, but how can i know what viscosity have to use exactly? i mean if i use a AB 150, should i use AB 200 or 300 or 500???? :confused:

Help me! i would like to chose the best option.

The compressor manufacture should provide a viscosity requirement for the compressor. They may be able to suggest an oil that is on their approved lubricants list.

Failing this approach, try to contact CPI Engineering in Michigan for help on the appropriate oil from them. They won't tell you their blend, but will sell the oil.

I have used their oils on a number of projects and found them to be very helpful. You will need the gas composition for the compressor and operating conditions.
