what should my evap coil temp be on an 80F 75% humidity day. This is a 5ton goodman split system with a txv. It just doesnt seem to be cooling to capacity. Evap temp is always around 45f. System pressures are HI 250 LO 72, any ideas thanks

Sorry,
Never had the pleasure to work on a Goodman unit.

But the data you provided looks like if it could be OK.

More interesting thou, what's the Delta T (temperature difference across the indoor unit) and superheat?

Those 2 values will tell us more....

Air con is designed to be 20K. So say in celcius, if indoor temp is 20C, saturated suction temp on the LP gauge would be 0C, or ~ 400kpa.
Convert that to moon measurements of PSI and Farenhiet.
eg 30C (85F) day, sst should be 10C = 539kpa or 78 PSI.

then I guess it is running properly, The fact that the unit is for a restaurant that has two large exhaust hoods running all day doesn't help either.
