Gday, i'm hoping someone will be able to offer some info on domestic ground source heat pump systems 15- 20 kw, i'm working in central south island of NZ where temps often drop below -7 c for weeks .Traditional heatpumps really struggle but i;m finding it a struggle to locate any good advice. Looking for a good tech book or net page on ground source installations. Cheers.

What sort of information do you need?

There's a lot of technical and non technical information on GSHPs available for the price of an evening with Google.

The machinery is probably the easy part.

Look carefully into the planning implications and cost of the groundworks - if this country is anything to go by it will be by far the most significant part of the overall cost.

Renewables such as GSHP is very popular with politicians and planners at the moment, so see what incentives or grants your government or electricity utilities may offer.
