Hey guys,

I'm in a bit of a quandry here. I have a mass flow meter that needs to be sent back to the manufacturer for recalibration. I have been requested to send MSDS sheets for all chemicals that have come in contact with the device in the package being sent. I have found everything I need except for this one thing: "MSDS Sheets for Mercedes-Benz R134a ND8 Compressor Oil (PAG)"

I was hoping some of you boys across the pond might be able to help out, I've been searching the interwebs for a couple of hours and can't seem to find anything relevant (at least not in English:o).

Thanks.

I assume MSDS is similar to our COSHH, i.e. safe handling data.

If so have a look HERE (http://www.compressortech.co.uk/downloads/pag_oils_coshh.pdf).

Excellent! That will probably work, and if not, it gives me a good starting point to do some more research. Thanks!

Hi E-T,

Checking with another Q&A forum it appears that ND8 oil is known as PAG46.

An MSDS pdf file can be found here....
http://truckair.com/msds.htm

click on the 17-3411 PAG46 8ozs file for a 3 page file.

Yes, that is exactly what I was looking for! Right on man, I really appreciate it. I just hope the chemical composition is the same for the ND8 manufactured for Mercedes-Benz. I don't think it matters either way, I completely flushed the mass flow meter with RX-11 and Nitrogen, so hopefully I got most of everything out. Thanks again dude!
