We did the refrigeration part of this, a 100% curved counter
Length 19 m or (+/- 57 ft)
Drawing this with Inventor is o so easy but making it.
I will take a picture of it when it's installed with the glasses in it.
After I come back from my trip to Canada :)

Hi Peter,

That is a very interesting project. What will it be used for? It looks like a minature bobsled track.:)

I would say those evaporators were a lot of fun to build.

All they need now is a small conveyor belt to move the customers around the display area.

The staff, well they will be expected to keep up with them I expect;)

It's a counter for Italian specialities which will be installed in the middle Brussels.
Well, we've made these evaporators starting from single finned pipe.

We're not satisfied about the ventilation system used and drawn by one of the designers. They blow the air at a very low speed from top to bottom through the evaporators.
Also the granite is cooling with a coil underneath it and limited by a suction pressure regulator to avoid freezing up.

The trip goes from Edmonton to Vancouver but my wife doesn't know this yet.
She thinks we go for some days to the UK.

I saw the fans on the coil and wondered how that was going to work.

Lovel'y piece of kit Pete.
I bet your knees hurt after bending the evaps round them:)

Cheers taz.

Joking apart I've seen how bent conds are made for air cond units but how did you bend the evaps?

Interesting Peter. You sure get to do some original projects. I would think that low velocity air is exactly what you need. You will be entraining ambient air as you cover the greater area created by the outside circumference. I look forward to seeing the final product. Good stuff!
