Hello everyone,

Need a bit of advice regarding my new vac pump 'kindly' given to me by work. I suspect I have a leak on the main fitting into the pump. It is a 3 way fitting, one is 1/4 flare, one is 3/8 flare, and the other I think (after looking on e bay!!) is 1/2" acme - this is what is leaking due to an ill fitting plastic cap.

Anyone know where I can get a fitting (in or near manchester) to either blank this off or take it to 1/4 flare - tried Dean and Wood earlier but they didnt know what it was and niether do I.

Does anyone know what 1/2" acme is?????

Vac pump model is cc- 141, tried javac website no luck.

Thanks a lot, Steve

1/2 acme is for car aircon as the car mechanics can't be trusted to use the right gas unless the threads are different lol. Would Javac not put one in the post to you if you asked them nicely?

Cheers Jon

Thanks for that Jon.

It may have to do that, or send them it back!! They seem a bit cheap / nasty to me, always had Robinair ones before. Don't know of any wholesalers who sell stuff for car a/c, had a job getting hold of adaptors for car a/c before.

At least I know what it means now.

Thanks
