hi,

can someone tell me what monitoring techniques are appropriate to refrigeration equipment ??

what types of monitoring is used to measure the temperature, the pressure and the airflow measurement of the condensor fan ??

I am considering to use digital thermometer for the temperature, for pressure a pressure guage and for air flow a thermo anemometer. are these good ??

if you know with any links which can help about this topic and about these monityoring devices please list them.

thanks
barbo

It's a bit too general... You should exactly explain what kind of application you mean for your device and what values to monitor.. What temperature? Indoor, outdoor, condenser in, condenser out? Why monitoring condenser airflow? Usually the fan condenser fits perfectly the needs of the heat exchanger, so...?
Please, be more specific.

Hi Barbo and welcome to the forum.

If you're measuring airflow across the condenser fan then a thermo-anemometer is not the best tool. The size of the measuring head will give you pin-point readings when you really need a rotating vane anemometer which will give better readings.

If the condenser has a ducted inlet or outlet then a set of pitot static tube readings will be better still.

Standard pressure guage readings and digital thermometer readings are good enough for the general working conditions.

If you are performing more detailed work then your instruments must be calibrated at regular intervals.
