An article in the MOTOR INDUSTRY MAGAZINE June '07 about car air conditioning systems says that from 4th July 2007, 'Any technician working on AC must have received some form of formalised training.'

Then the article continues about 'Automotive Technician Accreditation (ATA) - Refrigerant Handling.'

My question is, will this be the City & Guild 5101 Certificate in Mobile Air Conditioning Systems, which was brought out specifically to cover the requirements of the F-Gas Regs, or will the motor industry do its own thing?

Surely as a trainer you would have knowledge of these answers?

His question makes sense, He's asking are they going to include automotive systems as simply mobile A/C or will the automotive sector formulate their own system perallel to the mobile a/c.

As in will a prospective tech have to get an automotive version of the mobile A/C cert AND the Mobile A/C cert togeather? Or will the governing section just clump them into one solid lable?
