Hello engineers,
on a RNY10K7W1 VRV DAIKIN (double condensing unit) randomly appears on indoor displays the E0 error code, which is known to be the activation of a not well specified "safety device" on the outdoor unit.
Resetting the fault produces the effect of let start only B outdoor units... Even though load request is maximum (setting all indoors at 16 centigrade) unit A is completely silent and no error detection is shown either on the main board or the indoor displays. Nothing seems to be wrong, except that after a X period of time (hours), the E0 flashes again and everything doesn't run.
Tried to disconnect both condenser fans (one by one) and nothing changes.
Anyone already had such trouble sometimes?
Thank you for your help.

The rny10 is a single unit. do you mean you have 2 of these coupled together making a rny20?

The EO fault code relates to either the fan thermal protection device or the compresor overload.

One thing to remember - if the code shows then the fault is definately there.

Seems that one of the secondary compressors may be suspect. We had a similar fault related to an undersized crankcase heater (40W instead of 70W) which eventually led to a lost compressor due to lack of oil.

As it was always the last compressor to be called under high load conditions it used to run with a low oil level. Daikin are aware of this and they paid our time and materials to correct it.

Got it!
It was a bloody fan.. It was kidding me, but thanks to your suggestions I could detect it. Thanks a lot, frank!
