Hi all,

Having spent another day, spending more time in my van than actually on the spanners, i was wondering what everone thought was britains worst road.
Here are a few i travel on a regular basis and why i hate them.
A14 Cambridge area, Too many wagons hoging both lanes at 56mph
M25 M11-M40 car park - say no more
A140 Norwich - Ipswich, Major route all single
A9 North of Perth, Once again too much single
A66 Getting better but still not nice

Come to Dorset, one of the few counties without a motorway.

A35 through Chideock
A31 Eastbound from Poole area
A350 A road that follows the fields, not wide enough for two lorries to pass

I thought your day had been a bit bad when I read the thread title.

Chin up Ray, you can try again tomorrow ;)

Hi Brian,

not too bad today, although last week was a killer - still recovering.

Forgot to mention

A38 or A370 cant remeber which one but it is at telegraph Hill in a Plaxton bodied B10m with a G7 gearbox and 49 Pensioners on board and enough luggage to last them a month - this can be a bit rough

We had a vintage/veteran display of buses in Weymouth over the weekend with some of them repeating their local routes of yesteryear.

I think some of the registration plates were newer than the current service buses running around the town :D

Sorry guys but the worst road is the A47 in any direction mainly to the east coast. Or even worse the fosse way.

The North Circular or the Euston Road.

Come to think of it - ANY road in London -- geezz I hate that place.

Best thing to ever come out of London was the road back to Nottingham :D

Rdocwra, didn't the A14 used to be called the A45 way back when. If so it was a bad one for sure!

expat,

Yes, The A14 in part is the old A45

The A14 now runs from Felixstowe to Rugby (M1/M6 junction) The A45 Still exists from Thrapston to Northampton

Still the same #### piece of road, whatever they call it
