Quest sandwich cooler evap?

I've got a sandwich cooler who was once repaired with a grossly under sized evap that rotted out, Now I need to find the correct type for it but have zero info on the thing! No numbers Nicht!!!

So I can give ya the dimensions: 4 to 5 feet long; ruffly three feet high and 4 feet wide; it has a top pan tray with hood of same length; but ruffly 2 feet wide.

Currently Some one has patched in a 3K BTU/h R-134a plant, and a 1200BTU TEV and evap. way to small for that kind of duty me thinks!

Problem was it wasn't able to keep the trays cold enough to pass HI (Health inspections) No wonder! So what is the factory evap that is supposed to be in there and what plant was shipped with the unit?

If you were in the UK I would of said save yourself some grief and just sell the customer a new cabinet, failing that, space permitting I would size it up as I would a coldroom and select the smallest panel cooler I could or even a gravity fall coil.

I live and work next to one lol, makes life handy when trashing a unit after I strip out any re-usable parts. FYI it is a recycling yard to be exact.

evap is scrap, I'm obviously not puting it back in, it was just one item on the sad list of failurs of the last repair company.

I gues I'll be doing some sizing then, good idea.

Well I did a load calc and assuming a 38C ambient in the kitchen (100F) it is 2.1Kw/h (7102BTU/h) load.

They had a .9Kw(3,000BTU) plant in it with a .35Kw (1200BTU) evap!!!!!!! sade thing is it is the top hood that is 56% of the load on the machine <_< I keep teling them to insulate it any way they can!

So I need to get a 6K btu + plant on it with matched TEV and evap :( All most geting cheaper to get a new one.
