View Full Version : refrigerant oil for screw compressor

Hi
I have to change the oil for a Kobe screw compressor its refrigerant is R22 and the oil type is Freol PU32N wich is not available in our market .what type of oil from Carrier or bitzer can replace it without problems

The number 32 looks like a 32cSt oil.
SUNISO 3 GS or RENISO KM 32 or Emkarate RL 32H or Zerol 32 should do the job.

Hello nabil you need ISO VISCOSITY GRADE 68 or above ester oil for screw compressors to run

You will do best to check the IOM for the unit and see what oil or alternate oils are approved by the vendor for use in the compressor. Most are using a semi-snythetic on R-22. For normal A/C duty, Iso 68 is the viscosity used for the screws. For lower or higher temps, they may require a different oil.

te is evaporator temperature, I use ET
tc is condensing temperature, I use CT

hello i maintain theses compressors on the same gas and the oil we have been using for the last 10 years is called zerico and its made by either mobil or esso i have never had any problems yet
