Hi! Does anyone know if there is a program for a PPC (Pocket PC) indicating refrigerant properties (i.e. Temperature versus Pressure, etc.)? If there isn't one, would there be interest in having one available? Thanks!

Hi Ernie, doing a little bit of market research ?

Not really. I would like to have this ability on my PPC. If there isn't anything out there, we might make a little program (if we have time). We would give it away for free if we did make it.

Hi there,

I have a small 'calculator' like tool which gives saturated pressure and temperature of refrigerants. But the problem is it only contains a few refrigerants.
It becomes handy sometimes.:D

Hi!

Does it include Ammonia? That's the main one we work with.

Thanks for the info!

Hi there,

Actually I don't remember:) . It's been a long time since I used it and also I don't work with ammonia.
I will check it tomorrow and give you all the details.
Cheers

We used to call these pressure/temperature cards.;)

But I could see how these might be useful.

I notice that the U Of W IRC group has an Excel spreadsheet with several anhydrous ammonia properties sheets in it. For now, I've just transferred this to the PPC and it works OK. It can be downloaded as the file "ammonia_properties_spreadsheet.zip". It's not as convenient as a separate program though.

Hi there,

This is the info about the calculator.

Name : HVAC Pocket Calculator
Company : WIN LINE Products Co. Redford, Michigan USA

Functions :

1-Converts pressure to temperature & temperature to pressure for R11,R12,R22,R500,R502 and R717.
2-Clocks the BTU.hr input of natural gas through a gas meter.
3-Determines % of relative humidity by entering a dry and wet bulb temperature.
4-Converts Fahrenheit to Celsius and Celsius to Fahrenheit
5-A four function calculator
6-An English metric conversion

Don't take it as an advertising:mad: . Just helping.

Cheers:)
