Good day, got a 2 stage chiller for repair. Upper and lower chiller were both set at the temp of 70 Degree Celcius. Notice that the upper channel keeps tripping cos the red gauge went beyond 400 PSi whereas the blue gauge shows 30 PSi. But the lower chiller show 300 on the red gauge and 30 on the blue gauge. Any remedies for this?

1. Just change the TXV
2. Just change the solenoid valve.
3. Just change the filter drier.
4. Vacuum and charge with new gas. (R403B)

Thanks for your viewing and reply......

Dear Joethm,

First of all, the blue gauge is the suction pressure and the red gauge is the discharge pressure  .

What do you mean "two stage chiller"? Are the compressors in parallel?
Set temperatures are 70°C? Is it a heat pump?

Give us more info so we can help. Describe the system more clearly.

Also R403B has higher discharge pressure than R22.
Cheers:)

I would assume that this is a cascade system.

Kind Regards Andy:)
