hey,

i have a true t49 reachin freezer that currently maintains -10f...im looking to drop it down to -20 using a digital thermostat...just wanna hear what the experts say... will this thing handle the extra workload? we'll keep the doors closed most of the time...only opening it no more than 3 times every 8 hours...and only for a very brief moment to slide a tray in or out...whaddya think?

Yes, I don't really see why not.

It's not that much colder, although you may have to defrost it more often.

Chillin:) :)

hey,
I don't think it is a real big deal to run that much colder, but you may want to check with true to see if the compressor can handle running at a lower suction pressure. This may be more critical if the freezer is in a warm location, compression ratio might be out of wack.
good luck
