I have a LG fridge freezer grl206cpqa can any one tell me if the cooling fan at the back of the fridge should run all the time or will it only work if weather gets hot outside. I have fitted new motor still not working but fridge is cold and freezer making ice can anyone tell me if it could be a relay or curcuit board. I tryed putting hot air into fridge to force fan to work. fan never moved.

Assume that you held the door switch in whilst you checked it?

Is the fan motor inside the fridge compartment?

If it is then it sounds like the fan is used for 'turbo cooling'?

Look for a small switch perhaps under the top where the door switch is or beside the stat.

Or hows about following the wires to see where they go? this would be much easier than changing the fan.

Chillin:) :)

there is two fans i think it has turbo cooling. one in freezer compartment and one at the back down by the compressor. my fault code was abnormal cooling bldc motor so replaced the one by compressor was i right but still fault code dislayed do think it could be the one in the freezer?
