Hi senthil
Most good duct manufacturers/suppliers will give you a complete duct sizing and materials list according to your plan of the occupied space you wish to condition, be it for heating or cooling. Surely there is a reputable company in UAE. Check your yellow pages. They may also recommend a suitable airconditioning unit to suit the application. All you need to do is fax or email the plans (in scale with aspect to sun) of the building to them, these companies are always keen for your business.

Hi there,
as you have mentioned, the split unit..So probably you will use it to condition the fresh air..So in that case, the fresh air duct must be sized according to some of the methods for duct sizing..that is clear..But if you have a ducted outlet, than you must check your airflow and to chose the duct diameter accordingly to the fan that is installed on the indoor unit..If you are in Emirates, please watch out, don't go with the outlet temperatures lower than the dew point..I have seen on the airport condensation problems in outlets, but what happened in the ducts, i don't want to think about....
