this is chemical question:if condenser of chiller have salt deposit on its piping surfaces(due to bad quality of cooling water) that reducing its efficincy of heat transfere; what acid we use to clean the salt deposits; what is the consetration of acid? how many hours we should cerculate the acid thru the condenser? how do we know tha the pipes is cleaned from salts deposit after cleaning?
could any one provid internet site that give information about this procedure? thanks :o

Try here: http://www.nucalgon.com/ and here: http://ftp.nucalgon.com/ftp/prodlit/3-106.pdf You will still need to punch the tubes when you are done with the acid cleaning in order clean out any residual sediments and insure all of the muriatic acid is off the tubes. If the tubes are heavily fouled you may want to clean them up some using expando brushes.

You may want to check out this descaler also: http://www.goodway.com/liquid-descaler.aspx

Dear afeef,

Regarding the salt scaling on your condenser, I saw that absrbrtek sent you to Goodway USA, for descaler. I'm dealing Goodway and I had a problem with a boiler where the deposits where so heavy that the acid did not run through, so many tubes remained unclean. Using a RAM machine with drill tip tools, we where able to get through the deposit, and clean the tubes. We cleaned the tools while working with water that came through the flexible shaft. Good look.
