Hi Mike - you could try DuPont's ISCEON MO49 which will act as a drop in. It is mainly targetted at car a/c but will work fine in your application, and is particularly good in higher ambients. There are also others if you can't find a DuPont stockist, but make sure you use something compatible with mineral oil

cheers

Hi Mike,
R409A is what we use here in London as a drop in for
R12 not that there is a lot of use for it now.

Hope this helps,
Cheers,
Raven

There several to choose from, I have found R409a ok
but latley have been using SP34E, (134a with some additives so it can be used with mineral oil)
