Anyone that downloads these programs should be aware they are not unrestricted programs. These have a specific time period they are valid after they are posted on the IRC website I believe. I think the time period is one year.

They do this I believe to keep the programs updated for future additions or corrections for bugs. That doesn't mean the programs are bad. In fact they are quite good.

The guys who write these programs are some smart fellows and I think the programs they have posted address some very real concerns for those of us in industrial refrigeration.

I might be a little biased, but I do work occasionally with these guys in some of their seminars and think they offer some good ideas which have merit.

The programs were written with EES (Engineering Equation Solver), which is also the foundation for the CoolPack programs you can download for free.

As with any programs you should use good judgement. Just because you get output numbers does not mean you have the answer. The output is only as good as the input and the manner in which the data is used. Having said that, the programs do allow you to see the impact of the input data to help make decisions.
