we have to overhaul NH3 screw compressor , what is the type of refrigeration oil must be charged with?
it is HOWDEN compressor,I contact the manufactrer,but no responce from him! please help me:(

Hi afeef, We have 3 Howden WRV 225 on one site working as low side compressors on NH3 and a suction pressure of -.38 Bar. and a temp. of -40oC. and a delivery of 2.6 Bar and discharge temp. of 58oC.
In the past we used Mobil Gargoyle Arctic 300 oil, But had to change to Shell Clavus 68 oil as the company changed it's supplier to save money. Each oil was listed by Howden in the manual that we have.

thanks karelsdr, yesterday i get replay from howden in uk, they recomend the mobil gargoyle arctic 300,for operation , the compressor is 3000rpm,evaporation temp.8C,condensing temp.60-65C,oil temp.inlet80C,oil temp.outlet 64C
