Welcome to the Forum Jeff!
A "Drop Test" is when you pressurize a System or part of a system for a period of time and determine the amount the pressure drops off.
For instance a piece of equipment might be pressurized to 150lbs and considered passed if it lose no more than 2lbs in 24 hours.
Ideally it will not drop off at all.
However. changing temperatures and other factors may cause some pressure drop without there being an actual leak.
In many cases it is considered a preliminary test.
It could also be used to refer to a Vacuum test. The local vernacular may vary.

403B is an intrim replacement for R502.
To replace R403B you could use

R404A or R507

Cheers taz.

Kaaykaay....don't forget that R404A or R507 require Polyolester oil.
