I have one of these and the remote is faulty.
The universal remotes do not state if they work with this model. Part is no longer available at York. instead they have a corded replacement at 144.00 Aus + GST

That price is ridiculous.
Anyone tested these universal remotes on this model high wall split ??

1) Google shows up this one, wherever in the world that is... http://articulo.mercadolibre.com.ar/MLA-22611530-control-remoto-universal-p-aire-acondicionado-pantalla-lcd-_JM 2) Far as I know, some ranges of the York lineup are straight off the Midea Group manufacturing line. Midea just add the York badge when it gets near the end of their production line. That could well be a Midea controller. The fig number looks a bit similar (ie Wall mounts end with ...12HRN1 for 3.5kW 410a systems and ...12HRN2 for 407c systems. Maybe the N15 is from the R22 versions?), and the picture on the link is not a lot different to their current controllers. Try a call to the UK distributor, Zetacool, on 01737-644270 or 0845 4500050. Hope this helps.

Recently I needed the same item for a York MHH35SP17 and George at HADEN in Adelaide 0402942953 supplied it at $91 + GST - I think they will have the control you need ( yes it will have a a cord ) but its hard to make the unit work without it .

If you have a Sanyo dealer nearby they may have one as many of their small units are the same as york.
