Hi all
We are currently building 4 scroll condensing units to include oil seps, cpr etc. We have noiticed that the oil return port from the sep on to the compressor is lower than the compressor oil site glass, on semi's the oil return is always above the oil site glass, should we be wooried about anything?

Units are 7.5 Hp Copeland scrolls.

regards

No need to worry. The oil on scrolls is injected in at high pressure direct from a small oil header that is fed from your sep and is controled by an oil management system that managers the level of the oil in the comp.

look at henry optronic regulators we've been using them for 4 years and had no problems with either high or low pressure oil return this leaves the fill port free for initial fill and future draining. remember though if using low pressure return take out the orifice from the feed port before fitting.
