hydrocarbon compressor material

Our factory want to produce hycarbon oil inject screw refrigeration compressor,we use propane or propylene as refrigerant.But I don't know if we can choose nodular cast iron as the material of rotor,because I heard the nodular cast iron rotor is easy to spark and bring explosion.Can anyone help me?:confused:

Explosions can only occur in presence of oxygen. So the rotor can spark or try to ignite the propane, but it will not succeed
