"mark forums read" gone?

Did the "mark forums read" button just dissappear or is it just me?

I have to click it after each visit to have the "unread posts since your last visit" reset, and now it's gone... GONE I SAY!!! AAAAH THE SKY IS FALLING! THE SKY IS FALLING!

Seriously though, there was some type of upgrade going on today and the top green toolbar disappeared during this time.

Other moderators have reported the same thing you have found Tycho. Hopefully the Boss of RE can provide some details as soon as he gets a chance.

nah, seriously, I just noticed, it was there yesterday, and today, after surfin through the mouse pointer autopilot shot up to the "mark forums read" button and there was nothing to be found :)

I was like "huh"

The crowd was like "ooooooooh"

I was like "what?"

The crowd was like "hissssssss"

I was like "ok... hummmm"

The crowd was like "boooo hisssssss"

I was like "I know it's free, but I really should ask, just in case they missed it"

The crowd was like: "oh, mmmyeah... you should"


So I did :D

I'm sorry, I'm back at the pre-school stadium right now :)

been pressure testing some refurbished jackstone freezers ALL day, and night... We use Loctite 577 on all and I mean ALL our fittings, and it works... one of the guys working for the company that delivered the freezers didnt "believe in "white mans magic" sealing compund" and was scoffing every time I mentioned it.

after he left (after the third pressure test) I said to the other guy from the other company (actually the owner) "We can stay here all night getting nowhere, or we can do it my way and be out of here in three hours at the most" we could have been hadnt it been for a plate leaking :) I just hope he remembers till the next time he refurbish Jackstone freezers :D if it's for a site I'm going to, I'll send him some tubes of 577, paid for out of my pocket :D

Hi Tycho, yeah my buttons disappeared as well.

Been told that if you click on 'Quick Links' the Mark Forums Read option is there, and it is :)

There is also another 'mark forums read' button at the bottom of the forum front page.
