Hi ! I am looking for a step motor hotgas valve, with 0-10v. I have looked at Alcos EX series, but they take too much space, and i have also tryed them with mixed results. Does enybody know other manufactures who makes these valves?

Siemens expansion valves are stepper motor. Polycool is the name of the range.

Hi Steve,

A stepper motor valve is capable of making very small adjustments to the valve stroke to increase or decrease the flow rate through the valve.

As you are probably aware, a simple solenoid valve is on or off so then you have either full flow capacity or no capacity.

The stepper motor valves provide very small incremental adjustments to the valve stroke to modulate flow/capacity.

They could be used in place of a solenoid valve for any purpose, i.e., hot gas, liquid, etc.
