Hi Dunty

If its cost effective for the upstairs tripple the outdoor upto ducted systems, it looks a lot neater and then use a highwall unit for the lounge.we have experienced only 1 problem in that some times the nearest unit to the outdoor unit steals all the duty and the others suffer, but apart from that SUPER domestic kit.

As a rule of thumb for the calcs i know its rough but most people sware by it 100 watts of cooling per square meter.

example 3 mtr x 3 mtr = 9 x .100 = 0.9 Kw

I have experience with j series. If you have software for unit no prob. Also it is not so easy to repair as to install the basterds.
