Do not notice how to add a signature in the user CP.

Is this something that is not allowed for rookies?

Admin banned the use of signatures due to a small group of persons puting adverts in them.

So we all got tarred with the same brush and are not allowed anymore.

Every other forum I have seen allows them. I can't see how users can't be looked at individually.

Chillin:) :)

Not quite right Chillin

Admin made it so that your signature only appeared if you made a post of 100 words or more. This was to stop blatent advertising.

I'm not sure what the current situation is but try it out. Go to User CP and click on Edit Signature.

100 words....

IS YOUR ICE CREAM MELTING? IS YOUR MILK TURNING SOUR?
IS WATER DRIPPING FROM THE ROOF OF YOUR FRIDGE?
IS WATER DRIPPING ONTO THE FLOOR OF YOUR KITCHEN?
IS YOUR REFRIGERATOR "SINGING" TO YOU?

No need to call an expensive serviceman,
and then wait a couple of hours
(or DAYS) for him to show up!
Diagnose your problem RIGHT NOW,
cheaply and easily, with our
ONLINE refrigerator repair manual!

IS YOUR REFRIGERATOR:
Not as cold as usual?
Not cold at all?
Frozen in the freezer side,
and warming up in the fridge side?
Frosting up?
Pooling water or ice on the floor?
Whistling, warbling, chirping, clicking, buzzing or making other funny noises?

Most refrigerator repairs can be accomplished in one afternoon, with no special tools or knowledge other than this service manual. The same things tend to fail in the same designs. Why not save yourself a lot of time, hassle and money, and just go there first?

Proud bearer of the coveted
HANDYMAN CLUB
OF AMERICA
seal of approval!

Over 95% of all refrigerator repairs
have nothing to do with Freon!
A common misconception is that refrigerator repairs always have something to do with the sealed system (Freon.) This is just simply not true! We tell you how to diagnose sealed system troubles, but we recommend you call a professional for these problems. And even if it does turn out that you have a sealed system problem, at least you can save yourself a diagnosis charge, and make an informed decision as to whether or not to have the fridge repaired!

Tired of reading complex thermodynamic theory in a refrigerator manual? Don't you really just want to know basically how the bloomin' thing works, and then get on with fixing it? Our refrigerator manual cuts out all the unnecessary theory and sealed system repairs that the novice will never perform. Instead, we focus on diagnosis and repair procedures for the most common symptoms, such as no cooling, ice or water buildup, noisy operation, electrical troubles, etc. Covers Whirlpool / Kenmore / Coldspot, GE / Hotpoint, JC Penney, Amana, Norge, Westinghouse, Philco, Frigidaire, Gibson, Kelvinator, Montgomery Ward, Signature and most other major brands.

NOTE: If you are looking for a repair manual for your domestic icemaker please CLICK HERE to call and order it by telephone or e-mail. We have a domestic icemaker repair manual, but it is not yet online.

Now I see my signature... I think not.

As a mod who does not have a signature, I would be happy to donate my privilege to Abby Normal. He is a top notch engineer and been a positive contributor to many HVACR forums over the past decade... some preceding refrigeration-engineer.com. Dez, give Abby a break.:)

Well thanks for the offer Mr. Dan. I finally came up a sig one on some other forums, thought I would be consistent and add it here only to find out it is not available. No big deal, sorry to rock the boat.

I am quite the forum whore, just this one is more your realm, refrigeration, and I am more of an AC type of guy. Take a while for me to hit 100 posts anyways.

There was some advertising and jobseeking in certain sigs. that i spotted but i think it was more to do with pi$$ taking that they were removed.

Chillin where can i get a copy of that fridge repair book, i could do with one of those.

you are correct, that was why signatures have been removed.
They will be shown if your post is substantial however :)
