I've always found the big box with the "emergency stop" button on sabroe/york plants somewhat dramatic, and I've been wondering why they didnt go the full nine yards when the were at it :)

:D

It's on a ***** plant (R-22).

And I'm sorry about the obscene words, but unisab was printed on the box, and I felt it was needed in the picture, you know... to show that it was a york/sabroe plant...

Hey Tycho,

It would appear to be labeled correctly as you show it.

The sad part is... this may not be politically correct.

But it's purpose would be self-evident to those who have worked on systems for a while.:D

I'm sorry too...

If PC has gone so far as to label sh*t as a dirty word... I dont know what to do...

sh*t is about as dirty as poop, crap, do-do, number two, crap, etc, etc...

if they can say "oh F**k!" <--- I cencored that
in movies for people below 18 years, why can't we say "Oh sh*t" on a messageboard intended for service engineers, and people wanting to know things about refrigeration... I'm all OK with moderating my language, but "Oh sh*t" is about as common as "oh crap" and "oh no" we all know what they mean, but none of those carry the weight af a "Oh sh*t"

When someone says "Oh sh*t" you start running, if the same guy in the same situation says "Oh poop" you turn your head and go "what?" and a nanosecond later get a ton of liquid ***** over you

so what we have a picture of here is infact.. the big red Oh sh*t button...

In fact, I go to the bathroom and have a nice good sh*t twice a day... I dont poop, I dont make doo-doo, I dont take a crap... it so good it's a real sh*t...

I say PC needs to roll up an take a real good look at itself before it can say sh*t about anyone else

In other words, "Oh poop" does not create a sense of urgency, right? ;)

So by the way it appears, this statement actually crosses geographical, language and socio-political boundries. Judging from the responces from everyone, no other word can quite extract the same quite the same response.

I mean really, by the time someone would get to OOOHHH SHHHIII everyone would be headed for the doors or ducking for cover or looking for the "Big Red Button". If in fact if you ever have to use the phrase Oh Sh!t, at that point in time the ramifications of PC are the last things that you are thinking of, your in such Deep Sh!t anyways it wouldn't make any difference who got offended!

So by default the universal phrase for impending disaster should be Oh Sh!t:eek:.

Also comes back to the 'english' phrases that Iceman started....

Used to describe your working environment...

"Same ****, different depth"

Oh Sh!t is fine as Oh dear doesnt quite cut it.

When I had a Stall screw comp seize last week I believe I used the Oh Sh!t expression before pushing the big red button before the motor also gave up the ghost.
