R22 will work with both mineral and polyester oil.......I think.

Need to have it confirmed by other members first.

Yes but you need to vacum the pipes and put new sintetic oil. Then it can work.

The change is usually the other way around - why?

Hi greref,

No problems, it works fine, I do it all the time.

All you have to do is check the evaporating temp, an adjustment to the TEV might be needed. No need to change it.

Good luck

If he need R407c then he has leek. When there is a leek sintetic oil is spoil for 2 or 3 hours. So he needs to change the oil.

Assuming you do not haver leak??!

Yes ive done it when ive been unsure which gas the system uses.

R22 with work with both oils no probs, Its only when you use R407c you have to be sure you dont use mineral oil.
