I'm curious why when A/C units are installed, why only the cold
line is insulated from the condensor unit to the evaporator.
Why is the cold line not insulated on the inside of the condensor
unit ? ...seems like an energy waste. Questions:
Is it ok to insulate the cold line inside the condenser unit ?
If not, why ? If so, would i see better efficiency ? ..thanks

I'm guessing it is a fail safe to assure the system isn't slugged during worst case scenario.

because the pipe that is cold, only gous to the compressor, so it's not a big amount of piping, it's a tehnical space, and teoreticaly not realy a necesity, and all the other pipes are hot

sorry i thought u were on about a beer cellar, the reason u have insulation on the expasion line is yet again is the point of expasion
