I need to refurbish a DX coil (R22) that has stood for a while, the liquid line ¼” was cut and crimped but not sealed, so I suspect little but gas ingress here, the gas line was just cut and left open 5/8”. I guess any residual oil in the coil is now well contaminated with moisture, though it looks clean. I have blown most of the residual oil out with hi quality compressed air.
My question is, what should/can I do to refurbish this coil to get it back into service?
What will the residual contaminated oil do to the compressor oil ~1350cc?
