Help please guys, I have recently changed a compressor on a "seal" refrigerated display unit, fitted new drier, cut back capilary and replaced vaporizing loop. However unit now never gets anywhere near set point and just runs excessively hot all the time. The new compreesor is an ACC (electrolux) GP12 TB (R134a), the old one was a tecumseh/ l'unite AE4448Y, I was wondering whether the new compressor is smaller capacity than the old one. - Idon't have any comparison / data on these compressors
The compressor had already been replaced once so i don't know if it had the right one anyway.
Also the new vaporizer loop is not as large as the old one - do you think this would make any diference?

Any help greatly appreciated as this unit is begining to make me look a bit of a muppet

Thanks

Andy

The swept volum of the Electrolux is 12cm³ and the UH is 14,15 cm³ but this can't be the reason for your problem.
Restriction somewhere, undercharged, capillary too long, restricted dryer,
What's your evaporating temerpature, HP, SC, SH? Without these figures, you never can diagnose proper your compressor.

What's a vaporsing loop? Suppose it's the evaporator.

Thanks for the help guys, it was a restriction in the capilary - nearly chaffed all the way through and slightly kinked as the pipework went through the bulkhead to the evaporator section. Unit hasn't run that well for a long time.:)

Thanks for the update Andy, it's always good to hear that a problem/query has been resolved.

No doubt your customer is happier now also.
