I think your right superswill. We had a problem a few years ago with a Daikin ducted system where the level sensor had got stuck. I´m 99% sure that gave a AF fault.

G'day Richard

AF= Malfunction of humidifier system

According to the info that I have.
(You probably knew that anyway)

As for the cause.I have no ideas.

Im sure its a drain problem.Could be a few things such as water flowing back or clogged drian.

AF means that at thermostat off/condenstate pump off the float switch has made, so good chance that the drain is installed over its max limit and when the condensate pump goes off the water runs back in to the unit. Worth while checking that if the drain upstand is at its max height the pipe size should be reduced to 3/4 from 1" 1/4

A3 means the the float switch has made whilst the condensate pump is running. probably blocked drain! get the drip pan out and clean it!:)
