Before you start using software, do the calculations manually.

The loads are:

Wall transmission
Door leakage
Product pulldown
Product freezing
Product sub-cooling
Product respiration
Lights
People
Ventilation (if needed)
Equipment
Defrost heater
Cooler fan motor

Each of the above are well documented in plenty references.

One thing to be aware of.
If you plan to freeze the product, make sure that it is possible! The load tells you how many kW but not the rate of cooling. That's a much more complicated calculation.

I agree with nh3. One should get to the basics before using any software package. Principles of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning by RJ Dossat explains the procedure in detail.
