View Full Version : fujitsu a/c running off generator

Hi people been around for a short while but never posted so
its my first time be gental please! i have been working on a
semi perment trailer which has a small fujitsu a/c installed AOY25 all is well when im on site but intermittently it trips the breaker 25a d rated rcd, the supply comes from a 75a diesal genarater 225v checked cappy all ok start amps around 60a peak hold on amp clamp, wondered if genny has to much load but why would that trip my a/c breaker?:confused:

Hi, welcome, yes the start load could trip things as the voltage will drop and the amperage will rise to compensate.

hi just an update, checked over today and the genny voltage is very unstable we are going to get a contractor to check the genny and report back i have also learned that the a/c has never tripped on a land power supply, worth knowing.

Is it tripping on RCD or MCB????

its tripping an rcd d20 but the genny is loosing voltage on comp start, once the genny is sorted i will post and let you know whats happening then. cheers:)
