Anyone want to play Q & A? I have a "take home" quiz, trying to get as many questions answered as I can.

1. poor airflow around the outside of a chest freezer will cause? 1) higher product temp, 2) ?

2) Extra strain on the compressor.

Your turn.

Poor airflow?
On the outside of chest freezer??

A Chest freezer is a box, what has poor airflow on the outside got to do with anything?

What is meant by poor airflow?
You mean poor condenser fan performance?

You know Andy, you beat me to it, I "was" going to say the skin over the embedded coil wont dissipate the heat way as effectively as it would in an environment where the ambient is cool or there is a breeze.

But, I see loads of these chest thingies in hot kitchens, the compressors are belting hot and they just seem to churn on for ever
