hi i was thinking of getting a cheap A/C. And then remove the charge and change HX, jsut fool around a bit

i have this piercing valve thing

i was thinking of adding it to the suction line, it that a good idea.

Once i pierce the tube, what then. Can that valve be used to charge again etc. Will it ever leak.
