First test

This was a first test yesterday, made in aluminum.

Aluminium/stainless steel ??

What's the corrosion level likely to be?

The hoist is aluminium, only the bracket is stainless steel.

But...when we made a counter the upper plate is SS, the tubes are copper and between copper and SS is alu to improbe spreading/equalising of temperature and SS brackets over the copper.

So 3 different metals!!:eek:
This will last longer then I will live.:D

Are you referring to the bracket?

A hoist I made in aluminium to lift AC units.

Ok, I see it, but how do you support the top part, where the lifting motor is. Its quite high up. how does it stay straight up, without tipping over ?

You can see the supporting triangle on both sides of the hoist.
The upperpart (horizontal piece) where the electrical hoist is laying on is sliding in the vertical part of the hoist without bolts or attachment.
It's also very light.
In the vertical tubes, there's a second tube inside it to make it more solid.

There is already a hoist almost identical to that one on the market and on sale at my wholesalers.
