Anyone else experienced new shaft seal squealing in compressor after overhaul or seal replacement?
Have had on a number of jobs, are we the only ones?

Which Mycom compressor? Did it go away on it's own, or did you have to replace it?

Sorry, forgot to mention screw compressor 200 & 250 on various occasions.
Replace seal with another brand, problem goes away.
When remove seal, do not find anything obviously wrong.
Only happens occasionally with Mycom seal & another after market seal.
Had a Mycom oil pump M50P squealing, sounded like a tweety bird whistle.

Always best to replace with oem, slightly more expensive but you do have a come back who cares because the client pays at the end of the day cuthing corners bites you in where you don't want to be bitten?

hi, yes had this problem recently with the bellows type seal. Seal was replaced with the boss type and the noise went away.

Was that a Mycom recommendation, or your own, who pays ?
